AUTHORS
Ryan T. Hartwig, PhD
Ryan T. Hartwig, Ph.D., is Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Professor of Communication at Colorado Christian University. Bringing a unique perspective as a teacher, researcher, and practitioner, he seeks to equip leadership teams and groups of all kinds to thrive.
His scholarship has been published in the Journal of Applied Communication Research, Southern Communication Journal, and Group Facilitation, and recognized with several awards from the National Communication Association. His second book, Leading Small Groups That Thrive, was released in August 2020.
Warren Bird, PhD
Warren Bird, Ph.D., is ECFA’s vice president of research and equipping. Warren is widely recognized as among the nation’s leading students, researchers, and writers about megachurches. As @lensweet recently tweeted, “No one knows more about megachurches than @warrenbird.”
An ordained minister with a big heart for the local church, Warren has led in various pastoral positions, taught at several seminaries, and served most recently for 13 years at Leadership Network, overseeing their research department. An award-winning writer, he has also co-authored 30 books for church leaders on topics like breaking growth barriers, healthy mergers, and pastoral succession.
